Impact of bin Laden Death Highlighted by Veterans Now
In a decision that will have a marked impact on the future of
veterans care, the court in the case Veterans for Common Sense v.
Shinseki ruled that Veterans were denied their Constitutional due
process right to timely health care and benefits by the VA’s
delays. Now the VA has been court ordered to go into their
system and clean up the bureaucratic mess that leaves so many
veterans looking for assistance empty-handed.

Veterans Now discuss a Historic Ruling for Veterans Care
With President Obama announcing that he will bring home
33,000 troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2012, we are
seeing the beginning of the end of the Afghan conflict.
But, with the economy here at home struggling and
unemployment for former military personnel on the rise, the
veterans returning from Afghanistan must prepare for the
unemployment battle that awaits them here.

Veterans Now on the Drawdown of Forces in Afghanistan
Bill Badger, the 74-year-old retired Army Colonel who subdued
the shooter during the rampage in Tucson , Arizona, credited
his military training for the heroism he displayed in preventing
more innocent lives from being lost.
In an interview on the Veterans NOW Radio Program, Badger
discussed how he acted so quickly amidst the chaos in the
attack that left 6 dead and 13 injured, including
Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was shot point blank in
the head.
